The Nigeria National League (NNL) has urged clubs to comply with the directives and decisions of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee (PSAC) as player registration continues ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
NNL Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana, stressed that compliance with the committee’s decisions is mandatory, warning that affected clubs risk being denied the opportunity to register players.
“All cases of the Players’ Arbitration Committee, whose decisions have been taken and communicated to clubs, must be complied with, or the NNL will not register players of the affected clubs,” Alanana stated.
He added that where payments or settlements have been agreed upon with affected players and coaches through the NFF, evidence of compliance must be communicated to all parties, with the necessary clearance obtained from the federation.
The league has therefore urged clubs to treat the directive with urgency to avoid setbacks and ensure the smooth completion of their registration procedures.
Meanwhile, the 2026/2027 NNL season is scheduled to kick off on October 31 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, with a Conference A curtain-raiser between hosts Heartland FC, popularly known as “the Naze Millionaires”, and Crown FC of Ogbomoso, nicknamed “The Ajilete Warriors”.
The opening fixture is expected to set the tone for the new campaign as clubs begin their quest for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
