“Those of Us Who Did BBL Recently Are Suffering” — Judas The Bead Maker Laments Lack of “Gain”

Nigerian content creator and businesswoman Judas The Bead Maker has sparked conversations online after joking about the perceived decline in the social and financial attention associated with having a Brazilian Butt Lift, popularly known as BBL.

Speaking about women who underwent the procedure between 2024 and 2026, Judas claimed that those who had their surgeries years earlier enjoyed greater opportunities to attract attention and financial benefits from their appearance.

“Nobody has suffered as much as those of us who did BBL in 2024, 2025 and 2026. All we do now is to explain and explain because the streets are no longer the same. There’s no gain anymore,” she said.

Judas argued that women who underwent BBL at a time when wealthy men were more visible in social circles had more opportunities to benefit from the attention their appearance attracted.

“You see the people who did their BBL way back? Those are the ones who enjoyed it because at that time, boys were hot, ballers were around. You could do your BBL, enter the streets and enjoy,” she added.

She joked that women who have BBLs today have to rely more heavily on social media content and personal branding to turn their appearance into a source of income.

“But now, there’s nothing anymore. We have to explain because if we don’t explain, how are we going to see the money from the yansh? If you don’t create content, you won’t make money. The yansh has no gain anymore,” she said.

Judas further advised women considering the procedure to think carefully before spending money on BBL, describing it humorously as an investment that no longer comes with the same perceived returns.

“You better look well before you do yansh, before you invest in BBL. I’m just telling you because there’s no gain in the yansh anymore,” she said.

Reflecting on her own experience, Judas claimed that many of the wealthy men she expected to encounter after undergoing the procedure had either been arrested or left Nigeria.

“Since I did my yansh, all the drug dealers have been arrested, the bigger boys have left Nigeria and gone to Cape Town. Everywhere is dry,” she said.

She concluded by challenging the common claim that women undergo cosmetic procedures solely for themselves, asking, “And don’t tell me you didn’t do it because of a man, because why are you explaining?”
