Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he was once paid to pretend to have a physical disability as part of a staged healing miracle in a church.

The actor made the revelation during an interview with *Feel Right News TV*, published on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Solade said the incident occurred before he became a recognised actor, when he was still a student and had yet to establish himself in the entertainment industry.

According to the veteran actor, he was approached to participate in a purported healing miracle by pretending to be physically disabled. He agreed to take part and was paid for the role.

Recalling the experience, Solade said, “I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student.”

The actor said the people involved in the incident are still alive but declined to reveal their identities.

“The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names,” he added.
