Police Arrest Two Over Burglary as Stolen iPhone Sells for N25,000

The Ogun State Police Command said a 28-year-old man, allegedly bought an iPhone 12 for N25,000 after it was stolen during a burglary in Osun State, saying the two suspects have been arrested over the incident.
The Command said it arrested the two men over an alleged burglary in which valuables estimated at N3m were stolen, including laptops, phones and power banks.
One one of the suspects, 27-year-old Eyelade Anuoluwa, was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence gathered by operatives attached to the Ilesa Area Command.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, Anuoluwa allegedly burgled the residence of the complainant on July 26, 2026, and stole “one HP laptop, one Dell laptop, an iPhone 12, one Android phone, two power banks and recharge cards, with an estimated total value of N3,000,000.”
