Davido’s sister, Sharon Ademefun, has sparked a conversation online after openly rejecting the pressure to wear a new outfit every time she attends an event.
In a video shared on Instagram, Sharon revealed that she planned to wear an outfit from her wardrobe to an upcoming event, despite having worn it before.
She said her team had expressed concern that people might recognise the outfit and see her wearing it again.
However, Sharon insisted that she would not allow public opinion or social pressure to dictate her fashion choices.
“Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t re-rock. I will re-rock as many times as I need to re-rock,” she said.
She also encouraged people to wear their favourite clothes repeatedly without feeling pressured to constantly buy new outfits simply to impress others.
“I’m not going to let anybody put any kind of unnecessary pressure on me about anything,” she added.
Her comments have sparked conversations about the pressure celebrities and social media users face to constantly appear in new clothes, with many applauding her for promoting outfit repetition and more practical fashion choices.
