Bayelsa United to Name New Technical Adviser Today, Appoints Media Officer

Nigeria National League (NNL) side Bayelsa United have concluded plans to unveil a new technical adviser for the 2026-27 season.
The Prosperity Girls is expected to unveil the new tactician on Thursday, July 16.
The new coach will replace Meremu Okara who was sacked following the club’s relegation last season.
The appointment comes as the Prosperity Boys prepare for life in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The new gaffer will be tasked with leading Bayelsa United’s immediate push for promotion back to the top- flight.
Recall that the Bayelsa State government recently appointed a new management team for the club under the chairmanship of a former board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr. Peter Singabele.
Meanwhile, the club’s management board has confirmed the appointment of Ebi Avi, a former National Vice Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), as Media Adviser.
In statement ‎signed by its chairman Dr. Peter Singabele on Wednesday, the club said Avi’s appointment was confirmed following many years of dedication and selfless contributions to the profession.
“‎As a board, we are focused and have been working round the clock to ensure that we do not fall short of the task before us.
“‎We are also calling on football loving Bayelsans to throw their weights behind the board as efforts are being intensified to ensure that we return the darling team of the state back to the elite class of Nigerian Football,” the club stated.
