Nigerian singer Spyro has shared the story of how he met his wife, revealing that their first encounter happened while she was working at a nightclub.
Speaking during an interview, the singer clarified that she was not at the club to party but was there in a professional capacity when he noticed her.
“She was working in the club, not necessarily partying in the club. That is not to say partying is wrong, but she was working there, and that’s how I noticed her.
“I asked her, ‘Why are you working here? You seem different. You seem out of this place.’ That was how we had our first conversation.”
Spyro said he was immediately intrigued by her and wanted to know more about her situation.
“You know, I was trying to see how I could come in to see, you know, how can I help with this and all that.”
According to the singer, their relationship started off as a friendship, with regular phone conversations gradually bringing them closer.
“We were just friends. We talked on the phone, and one day my eyes just opened. I realised what I’d been looking for was right in front of me.”
Reflecting on how their friendship blossomed into love, Spyro admitted that he did not initially see her as his life partner.
