Super Eagles midfielder Kelechi Nwakali will stay put at English League One club Barnsley after he was retained.
Barnsley announced the retention of Nwakali, who only made four appearances in the league season as he was out for most of the campaign on account of injury.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined the club in the 2024/2025 season from Portuguese club Chaves.
The team finished a disappointing 15th in League One with 59 points from 46 matches.
