Kenyan social media personality Hellen Ati has stirred fresh drama online after reacting to reports that celebrity barman and nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest lost his bid to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket in Imo State.

According to reports making the rounds on social media, the businessman, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, failed to clinch the APC nomination for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The reports claimed that Cubana Chief Priest lost the primary election held on Saturday, May 16, to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu, after polling just 14 votes.

Reacting to the development, Hellen Ati took to social media to mock the alleged political setback, sparking another wave of reactions from fans and followers already familiar with the long-running controversy between both personalities.

Ati has repeatedly alleged that Cubana Chief Priest is the biological father of her child and has consistently demanded a DNA test. The celebrity businessman, however, has repeatedly denied the claims, while no DNA test has been publicly conducted.

Amid the online backlash, Seyi Tinubu publicly showed support for the socialite following the primary defeat.

In a message shared with the Imo State organiser of his City Boys Movement and later reposted by Chief Priest on Instagram, Seyi encouraged the nightlife promoter not to lose hope.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.

Before Seyi Tinubu’s message surfaced online, Cubana Chief Priest had already addressed the outcome of the primary election in a video shared on social media.

Despite the defeat, the celebrity businessman said he had no regrets contesting for political office, describing himself as a hustler who was willing to take chances.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he lamented.
