Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie, wife of David Ibiyeomie, has sparked conversations online following comments she made during a special Mother’s Day service at Salvation Ministries.

Speaking on marriage, friendship and moral values among women, the pastor cautioned married women against forming close friendships with divorced women if such relationships could negatively influence their views about marriage.

“Don’t follow a divorced woman as your friend, even if she’s your sister. Teach her to either reconcile with her husband or remarry,” she said.

Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie also criticized women who publicly downplay the importance of men and marriage while allegedly acting differently in private.

According to her, personal marital struggles should not become an excuse to interfere in or destroy another person’s relationship.

She further condemned husband snatching, warning against women who intentionally pursue married men and declaring that such actions carry consequences. Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting her stance while others accused her of unfairly stereotyping divorced women.
