Following recent online investigations into a Twitter account allegedly linked to Joash Amupitan, public debate has intensified over the authenticity of claims suggesting political bias.

The controversy stems from a post attributed to the account, which appeared to show alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC). While the account’s ownership has not been officially confirmed, the allegation alone has been enough to raise concerns.

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 elections, the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remains critical. The commission is expected to operate without political affiliation, ensuring fairness and public trust in the electoral process.

Reacting to the situation, comedian Deeone did not hold back.
In a one minute video, the outspoken APC supporter called on the INEC chairman to publicly address the allegation. He emphasised that silence on such a sensitive matter could be misinterpreted and may damage the credibility of the commission.

According to him, failure to clarify the issue could create doubt, particularly among opposition supporters, especially if the ruling party eventually secures victory in future elections.

His warning highlights a broader concern.
In today’s political climate, perception can be just as powerful as reality, and when it comes to elections, even unanswered questions can shape the narrative.
