After a week of intense backlash over a controversial prayer session with a school pupil in Durumi, Abuja, Nollywood actress and self-proclaimed evangelist Tonto Dikeh has returned to the same school. This time, however, the mission appeared far less spiritual and far more charitable.
In a new video shared on her social media page, the former deputy governorship aspirant explained that during her previous visit, her attention was drawn to a particular boy among the pupils. According to her, she felt strongly that the young boy carries the potential to become a globally recognised man of God.
A conversation with the school proprietor revealed another reality. The school only runs up to Junior Secondary School. That discovery seemed to inspire a new plan.
Tonto announced that she would personally sponsor the boy’s education beyond the school’s limit and support him all the way to university level.
The moment was captured in photos and videos showing the actress and the young boy smiling brightly together, a scene that spoke loudly of hope and excitement. She accompanied the post with heartfelt words, presenting the gesture as a commitment to nurturing what she believes is a future spiritual leader.
