Sunday mornings in Nigeria usually belong to hymns, prayer points, and the occasional enthusiastic shout of “Amen”. This past Sunday, 8 March 2026, however, social media found its own version of a sermon.
Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, posted a short video that quickly caught the attention of the internet. In the twenty-five-second clip, the outspoken social commentator claimed he had just woken from a vision with a message for popular preacher Jerry Eze.
According to him, the vision carried a warning. Pastor Jerry Eze, he said, should be careful, particularly in matters involving women, adding that trouble could follow if he became entangled in any form of sexual scandal.
The message was not delivered quietly. The caption attached to the video read like a dramatic prophecy: “The ancestors revealed to me, pastor Jerry Eze be careful, THIS IS NOT A JOKE,the ancestors know you have been taken advantage of politically…..this one will crumble you, stay far….BYE”
Observers quickly connected the warning to recent moments where Pastor Jerry Eze had publicly shown support for figures such as Obi Cubana and Tonto Dikeh, both of whom have had their share of political conversations and ambitions in recent times.
For now, the internet watches, amused and slightly confused, as prophecy meets content creation in the most Nigerian way possible.
