All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State yesterday conveyed a strategic meeting in Kaduna to strengthen and advance the party’s ongoing membership e-registration exercise across the local government.
Mr Collins Philip, Media Aide and Strategic Communication Officer for Zangon for the LGA, disclosed this at the end of the meeting held in Kaduna.
Philip said the engagement focused on a comprehensive review of the challenges being faced by registration agents at the grassroots level.
He said: “A major concern discussed was the difficulty encountered by thousands of party members whose cell phone numbers are not properly linked to their National Identification Numbers (NIN).
“This development has slowed down the registration process in several communities.”
The aide explained that the stakeholders also deliberated on targeted interventions for the communities affected by the recent crises in parts of the local government.
He said that this was with the aim of promoting inclusiveness and preventing the disenfranchisement of eligible party members.
Philip said the meeting underscored the collective commitment of the party leaders and stakeholders to addressing realities on the ground, enhancing grassroots participation, and ensuring a smooth, transparent, and credible membership e-registration exercise throughout the LGA.
He added that the stakeholders reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen party structures, promote unity among members, and intensify grassroots mobilisation in preparation for future political engagements.
