The police on Tuesday arraigned a 23-year-old man, Abdulahi Adegoke, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, over an alleged shop breaking and stealing.
Adegoke was charged with shop breaking and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, ASP Femi Omilana said the defendant committed the offences on Sept. 3, at noon at Soka area of Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant broke into the house of one Alhaji Bayowa Isiaka and stole 65 inches Television worth N1.2 million.
He said the offences contravened Sections 411 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The magistrate, Mrs Adeola Adebola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1.5 million and two sureties in like sum.
She held that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant and adjourned the case until Nov. 2, for mention.
