Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded after her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, allegedly questioned the authenticity of a court order shared by Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla.
The development comes amid an ongoing legal dispute involving the two actresses, following an interim order reportedly issued by a Lagos High Court restraining Lizzy Anjorin from posting content about Priscilla Ojo and her family on social media.
Reacting to the controversy, Iyabo Ojo urged members of the public to exercise caution before accepting claims made online, insisting that anyone making an allegation should be prepared to provide evidence.
“Anyone who alleges must prove. No one is above the law. It’s 2026; stop believing anyone who comes online to manipulate grown adults like you. Saying, ‘I have proof, I have evidence,’ without ever showing or posting the evidence for you to verify for yourself,” she said.
The actress also addressed criticism surrounding her activism, maintaining that standing up for people and causes she believes in has always been an important part of her identity.
“I was never just an ordinary actress or celebrity. Activism has been, and will always be, a part of me. I have no regrets helping and fighting for those I fought for,” she stated.
Iyabo Ojo said she would make the same decisions again if given another opportunity, although she noted that she no longer chooses to bring such matters to social media.
“If I had the opportunity to do it again, I would. I just no longer bring it to social media,” she added.
She further suggested that some of the criticism directed at her is connected to her history of activism, saying she remains confident that she has stood on what she considers the right side of issues.
“All this noise these miscreants call ‘attacks’ is a result of my activism. And I honestly have no regrets because I have stood on the right path. One with God is a majority, and my confidence lies solid in Him,” she said.
Addressing what she described as attempts to damage her reputation and that of her children, the actress declared that she remained confident in her faith and family.
“No one is bigger than God, and hence no one can rewrite my story or that of my kids. No matter how hard they plot, curse, defame, manipulate, twist and bark. My family and I are God’s chosen,” she stated.
Iyabo Ojo also strongly denied that her family would deliberately share fabricated legal documents on social media.
“Let me be very clear: There is no way we would ever post anything on social media that is fake. It’s a public notice. You can go verify it if you are in denial,” she added.
The latest exchange adds another layer to the public dispute between the actresses, which has increasingly played out on social media and now involves legal restrictions concerning what can be posted about Priscilla Ojo and her family.
