The All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice Chairman for Lagos East Senatorial District, Mrs Olayinka Olusanya, has said that no political merger or coalition can unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Olusanya disclosed this in an interview in Lagos, on Thursday.
She said that the APC remained strong, united and well-positioned across the country.
She added that President Tinubu’s achievements in office would work to his advantage  in the  elections.
“Those talking about a merger or coalition should understand that Nigerians are more interested in good governance and leaders who can deliver on their promises.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated courage and determination in addressing some of the major challenges confronting the country.
“Nigerians are beginning to appreciate the long-term benefits of his policies,” she said.
Olusanya said that the opposition parties were free to form alliances, but that such arrangements would not automatically translate into electoral victory.
According to her, winning an election requires strong grassroots structures, popular acceptance, credible candidates and a clear understanding of the needs of the people.
“A merger on paper is different from a strong political structure that is firmly rooted among the people.
“The APC has structures from the national level down to the wards and polling units, and this remains one of our major strengths as a political party,” she said.
The APC chieftain urged party members to remain united and avoid actions capable of creating divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
She said that members must work collectively to promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration and strengthen the party at the grassroots.
“We must not be distracted by the activities of the opposition. Our responsibility is to continue working for the victory our APC candidates and to ensure that the party remains united.
“When a political party is united and its members are committed to the welfare of the people, it becomes difficult for any opposition arrangement to defeat it,” Olusanya said.
She said that the reforms being implemented by the Federal Government were aimed at building a stronger and more sustainable economy for future generations.
Olusanya acknowledged that some of the policies might initially come with difficulties but expressed confidence that the benefits would ultimately outweigh the temporary challenges.
“The President has taken some difficult but necessary decisions in the interest of the country.
“Nigerians should continue to exercise patience and support the government because the foundation being laid today will guarantee a better and more prosperous future,” she said.
Olusanya also expressed confidence that the APC would retain power at the federal level and maintain its dominance in  the state and other parts of the country.
She urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration and judge the government based on its performance rather than political propaganda.
“Nigerians should focus on facts and the visible efforts of the government rather than the propaganda being promoted by somep opposition elements.
“By 2027, I am confident that President Tinubu’s achievements, the strength of the APC and the support of Nigerians will be enough to secure another victory for the party,” Olusanya said.
She urged all APC members to come out en mass during the 2027 election to vote for all APC candidates from federal to state level.
