Zoho Corporation has partnered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to provide digital tools and up to N20 billion in wallet credits to 25,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Mr Charles Odii, Director-General of SMEDAN, said in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos that the initiative would help small businesses grow by improving productivity and access to markets.
Odii said the partnership was aimed at helping eligible businesses access affordable cloud-based applications to improve productivity, streamline operations and strengthen their competitiveness.
He said that under the initiative, MSMEs within SMEDAN’s ecosystem would receive Zoho Wallet Credits to access more than 60 business applications based on their operational needs.
According to him, the applications include business email and collaboration tools, customer relationship management and cloud-based accounting solutions.
“Digital capability is now an important part of that journey, and this partnership with Zoho gives thousands of MSMEs another practical pathway to strengthen how they operate and grow,” Odii said.
He said the initiative was in line with SMEDAN’s ‘GROW Nigerian’ strategy focused on business formalisation, access to finance and markets, improved productivity, and digital adoption.
He said the agency would also partner with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to facilitate the free registration of 250,000 businesses and expand MSMEs’ access to growth opportunities.
Mr Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head, Zoho Nigeria, said the partnership would reduce barriers to technology adoption while helping MSMEs develop the skills needed to use digital tools effectively.
Ogundare said Zoho would provide participating businesses with training, workshops, one-on-one consultations and technical support throughout the programme.
He said the initiative reflected Zoho’s approach of combining global technology expertise with local partnerships to strengthen Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He Zoho and SMEDAN would  also partner on outreach and monitoring to assess how participating businesses adopt and benefit from the programme.
According to him, the partnership is expected to give more Nigerian MSMEs access to digital solutions that can improve efficiency and support sustainable business growth.
