Tanzanian socialite and Juma Jux’s former girlfriend, Huddah Monroe, has addressed the resurfacing of an old video involving her and the singer, amid renewed speculation about their past relationship.
Monroe said she had known Jux for a long time but had not spoken to him in years, explaining that the last time they spoke was before he got married, when he was still in a relationship. She added that although some of Jux’s friends are also her friends, she has not maintained direct communication with him.
Addressing suggestions that she was attempting to interfere in Jux’s marriage, Monroe said, “You guys think I want to ruin someone’s marriage. I can’t marry him so why would I ruin his marriage? I can’t be bothered about anything especially someone else’s marriage.”
The socialite also expressed frustration over the attention surrounding the resurfaced video, saying she had been trending in Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya “for the wrong reasons.”
She claimed that she had previously been linked to several of Jux’s relationships and accused of being responsible for their breakdowns. “All Juma’s relationships I have been linked to them that I am the reason why they ended. I can’t be bothered, leave me alone,” she said.
Monroe further denied posting the viral video, saying the account from which it was shared does not belong to her. She also said she is not active on TikTok or Snapchat and is barely active on Instagram.
“I don’t care about social media again. I don’t even post but someone else makes me trend, can you imagine,” she added.
