Court Remands Sales Representative Over Alleged Conversion of N7.6m

An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Tuesday, ordered the remand of a sales representative (names withheld) for allegedly converting N7. 6 million belonging to a company to his personal use.
Okeke was remanded after he pleaded guilty to a two-count of conversion and stealing.
The Magistrate, Mr. M. Mudashiru ordered that he be remanded at Agodi Correctional facility, Ibadan, until Aug. 17, for reading of fact.
The prosecutor, ASP Tunji Olaniyi alleged that the defendant between 2025 and June 2026, at Nourdm Company, Oluyole Industrial Estate , Ibadan, fraudulently converted N7.6 million money from sale of Majik detergent belonging to the company.
Olaniyi alleged that the detergent was meant to be supplied to customers.
He said that the money belonged to Nourdm Company, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, represented in court by one Benedict Odijie.
He said that the offence contravened the provision of Section 390 (9) and 419 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
