Popular streamer and content creator CarterEfe has stirred controversy after claiming that the much talked about wedding between TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis was not a genuine marriage ceremony but was staged purely for content.

CarterEfe made the claim during a live session after the wedding was mentioned in a conversation.

Laughing off the ceremony, the streamer questioned why he was not invited if the wedding was genuine, insisting that the couple’s activities were part of their content strategy.

“They do content, they say na wedding. Yes, na content now. You no know? No be real marriage. Na why dem no invite me,” he said.

The conversation later took an even more controversial turn when CarterEfe’s co-host speculated that the couple could announce a pregnancy within the next nine months, suggesting that such an announcement would also be content.

However, CarterEfe immediately cautioned the co-host against discussing Jarvis’ pregnancy, saying, **“But leave that woman belle, o.”**

The co-host subsequently withdrew the remark and repeatedly added “allegedly” to avoid presenting the pregnancy speculation as fact.

CarterEfe’s comments have since added another layer of controversy to the highly publicised relationship between Peller and Jarvis, whose engagement, wedding preparations and traditional marriage celebrations have attracted considerable attention online.

While the streamer alleged that the wedding was staged for entertainment, he provided no evidence to substantiate the claim. The comments have nevertheless triggered fresh debate among social media users over where entertainment ends and reality begins in the increasingly content driven world of Nigerian influencers.
