Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has revealed that she lost ₦5 million after placing what she described as her first-ever football bet on the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The actress took to her Instagram page shortly after Spain’s victory over Argentina on Saturday, July 19, to express her disappointment, saying the experience had completely put her off sports betting.
“First time playing and I lost. I will never try it again. My ₦5 million gone. In fact, I am done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me,” she wrote.
