Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed widespread reports suggesting she has reconciled with her former husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.
The actress addressed the speculation on Monday via her Instagram Stories, clarifying that the videos circulating online as proof of a reunion were old and had been shared without context.
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” Annie wrote.
Rumours of a reconciliation began after an old video showing Annie and 2Baba sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub resurfaced on social media on Friday, July 17. The clip quickly went viral, prompting many users to speculate that the former couple had rekindled their relationship.
However, Annie’s statement has now put those claims to rest, confirming that the footage was not recent and dismissing reports of any reunion.
Annie and 2Baba, who share two daughters, ended their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together.
Following the separation, 2Baba moved on and later married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
With her latest statement, Annie has reaffirmed that she remains 2Baba’s ex-wife, effectively ending speculation that the former couple are back together.
