Celtic boss Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho has been offered a new contract.
Iheanacho’s contract with the Scottish giants ran out at the end of the season.
“There’s an offer to him at this minute. So we’ll see how that develops,” O’Neill said.
The 29-year-old Super Eagles striker was one of the heroes for Celtic last season with some crucial goals as they won a league and cup double.
He has always fancied a stay at the Glasgow giants amid speculations that linked him with a move away from the club.
