BBNaija reality star Alex Unusual has sparked debate on social media after raising questions about the widely publicised release of abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
In a post shared on her social media page, the reality TV star said she found certain aspects of the victims’ release puzzling and called for greater clarity surrounding the circumstances.
“As a concerned Nigerian, these Oyo State kidnap victims released, why is their first care a ‘Thank you, Mr President’ video, and why are they still making the video inside the bush?”
Alex also questioned details surrounding the reported rescue, wondering why there had been no public display of the alleged kidnappers if the victims were indeed rescued through a security operation.
“If it was a rescue, where are the faces of the kidnappers?”
Her comments quickly generated mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians agreed that the public deserves more information about the operation, others argued that the priority should remain the safe return and welfare of the victims rather than the optics of the rescue.
