Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has left social media users laughing after playfully reacting to the reported aso ebi prices for the forthcoming wedding of content creator Peller and his fiancée, Jarvis.
The actor shared what appeared to be a direct message containing the wedding’s alleged aso ebi package, which listed men’s fabric at ₦350,000 for four yards, ₦700,000 for eight yards, and ₦1 million for twelve yards.
Reacting with humour, Awobona joked that the prices were enough to make him reconsider his source of income.
“Aso ebi package: Men’s cloths: 4 yards: ₦350k, 8 yards: ₦700k, 12 yards: ₦1 million. It seems I need to start Akara and Kuli Kuli business. How can I afford this? Help me beg Peller to sell 2 yards for me. I must not miss the wedding,” he wrote.
His reference to the akara and kuli kuli business appeared to humorously echo the ongoing conversations sparked by the First Lady’s recent remarks about small scale entrepreneurship.
