Popular content creator and AI personality Jarvis has defended her partner, Peller, following criticism from rapper Ycee, who recently described the growing popularity of some content creators as an “olodo uprising.”

Reacting in a video, Jarvis argued that many young Nigerians turning to content creation are educated people who, despite earning university degrees, have been left without meaningful job opportunities.

“I, who went to school, graduated, and the government no longer gives us work now, what do you expect us to do? What do you expect us to do, sir? Go and tell that to your president,” she said.

Jarvis questioned the expectation that graduates should remain idle after spending years acquiring education and skills, insisting that many content creators are simply trying to survive through legitimate means.

“You cannot expect us to have IQ and high knowledge, and at the end of the day, with all the knowledge and everything, we’ll end up cleaning toilets,” she added.

She also pushed back against claims that content creators do not value education, using her own academic background as an example.

“You are telling us that we don’t want to have education? Okay, me that graduated, me that went to school. Yes, hello, I went to school. Graduate. And how is it now?” she said.

According to Jarvis, the focus should be on tackling unemployment and creating opportunities for young Nigerians, rather than on mocking those who have found alternative ways to make a living through content creation.
