Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has spoken out from custody after being remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre over multiple charges filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a statement shared on her social media page, Blessing CEO disclosed that she pleaded not guilty to all charges brought against her after spending 26 days in EFCC custody.
According to her, the charges include two separate tenancy related disputes involving sums of ₦36 million and ₦69 million respectively. She maintained that she never sold houses to anyone through her office and promised to share more details about the cases once the legal proceedings are concluded.
She also referenced the controversy surrounding her cancer diagnosis and donations received during that period, including allegations by a woman who accused her of falsifying medical results. Blessing CEO stated that she has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
Despite her current situation, the media personality appeared upbeat, describing her incarceration as another challenge she intends to overcome. She noted that this is the second time she has been remanded at Kirikiri, recalling that she was previously detained in 2022 over allegations of defamation and cyberbullying.
Expressing optimism, she described the experience as a stepping stone to greater success and thanked supporters who have stood by her throughout the ordeal.
Blessing CEO also revealed that her accounts have been frozen, jokingly telling followers not to expect requests for financial assistance from her. She further invited supporters and bloggers to visit her at the correctional facility while she awaits the perfection of her bail conditions.
The case remains before the court and is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
