Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly called out her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, over his alleged failure to appear in court for divorce proceedings.
In a social media post, Peggy questioned Leonard’s commitment to ending the marriage, claiming that despite allegedly expressing a desire for a divorce, he did not appear after being served court papers.
She further urged him not to miss the next scheduled court date on June 23, stating that she intends to present evidence related to the case.
“You said you wanted a divorce, yet you didn’t show up when you were served. Please don’t avoid customary court for the second time on June 23 because I’m coming with receipts. Let’s make this divorce done and dusted,” she wrote.
The development has reignited public interest in the couple’s relationship, which has been the subject of speculation in recent years.
Rumours of trouble in their marriage first gained traction in 2023 after Peggy shared a solo Christmas photo, prompting online discussions about the state of their union. At the time, Frederick defended his wife publicly and disclosed that he regularly blocked social media users who attempted to interfere in their marriage.
Neither Frederick Leonard nor his representatives have publicly responded to Peggy’s latest claims at the time of filing this report.
