Nigerian singer Shoday has opened up about the importance of having a backup plan, revealing that he is prepared to return to his professional career if music does not work out as expected.

Speaking candidly about his journey, the singer disclosed that he studied Building Technology in school and remains mindful of the uncertainties that come with a career in the entertainment industry.

According to Shoday, his educational background serves as a safety net, giving him confidence that he can pursue another path if necessary.

“I studied Building Technology in school, and I am here doing music. Look at my body; did you see any tattoos? It’s because I am skeptical that if music doesn’t work like this, I will just put my CV. I am back in the office,” he said.

The singer added that while he remains fully committed to music, he has learned that success is never guaranteed and that having alternatives is important.

“I will even go on low cut. But this music is what I will do for life. I always said, if God doesn’t want me to go far, I won’t still be here. I have done it consistently with several songs,” he stated.

Reflecting on his experiences, Shoday advised aspiring creatives and young professionals not to rely solely on one path to success.

“One thing I have learned about life is to always have plan B. It won’t be sweet all the time,” he added.
