The draw for the national competition of the 2026 President Federation Cup will hold at the Nigeria Football Federation( NFF) Secretariat, Abuja, on Friday.
A statement by Ademola Olajire, NFF Director of Communications on Thursday, said the draw follows the conclusion of national playoff matches in both competitions.
Four teams were eliminated from the women’s competition during the playoffs, while six teams crashed out of the men’s competition.
A total of 32 teams will compete in the women’s category, while 64 teams will participate in the men’s competition.
Defending champions Kwara United, Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Bendel Insurance and Rivers United are among top contenders in the men’s competition.
Others expected to challenge strongly for the title include Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City and Barau FC.
In the women’s category, holders Rivers Angels will battle with Nasarawa Amazons, FC Robo Queens, Ibom Angels and Bayelsa Queens for honours.
Naija Ratels are also among teams expected to compete strongly in the women’s national competition.
Women’s teams for the national competition include Ahudiyannem Queens, Abia Angels, Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens and Delta Queens.
Others are Edo Queens, Rangers Women, Naija Ratels, FC Robo Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons.
Men’s teams include Enyimba FC, Akwa United, Wikki Tourists, Bendel Insurance, Rangers International and Kwara United.
Also listed are Rivers United, Shooting Stars, Plateau United, Ikorodu City, Niger Tornadoes and Barau FC.
