Tributes continue to pour in following the reported passing of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, with colleagues and friends sharing emotional recollections and reflections on his final days.

Comedian AY Makun said he was struck by the actor’s calm appearance during what would later become their final interaction, noting that he still appeared cheerful despite the situation. Actor Mike Godson also expressed regret, saying he repeatedly tried to reach the late actor but was assured that he was fine.

Chef and media personality Uriel Oputa used the moment to caution against making light of serious illnesses such as cancer, stating that it should never be joked about.
