Former Big Brother Naija winner Whitemoney has sparked conversation after calling out what he described as outrageous airport parking charges.
According to the reality star, he travelled over the weekend for a colleague’s wedding and left his car at the airport expecting to pay the old rate of about ₦25,000 per day. However, on his return after four days, he was reportedly hit with a ₦200,000 parking bill, following the newly reviewed charges said to have raised daily parking fees to ₦50,000.
Clearly stunned and new to the information of the new parking fee which has been in the news for weeks, Whitemoney took to social media to vent his frustration, calling on the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, to intervene.
His reaction has since triggered debate online, with many Nigerians asking whether airport parking is gradually becoming a luxury service.
