Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka has celebrated winning the English Championship with Coventry City.
The midfielder, who is on loan from Premier League club Brentford, joined in the celebration after they thumped Portsmouth 5-1 to be crowned champions of the English second-tier league with two rounds of matches to spare.
“History doesn’t happen overnight…it takes 25 years,” he posted on X
“Promotion, champions.
“Proud to play a part in something special.”
Coventry City are now back in the Premier League after a 25-year absence and they did so in super style with their Nigerian loanee playing a big role to now earn a permanent transfer from Brentford.
