Nigerian gospel artist Ebuka Emmanuel Hillary, popularly known as Ebuka Songs, has surprised many by stepping outside his usual lane of music and ministry.

Known for spreading the Christian faith through his songs, the 33-year-old has largely stayed away from political conversations until now.

Yesterday, 6 April 2026, the singer broke his silence after coming across an APC campaign billboard linked to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bearing the inscription “Expect More 2027.”

Clearly unimpressed, Ebuka took to social media to react. In a blunt and emotionally charged response, he called on the president to “leave Nigeria alone,” adding that Nigerians are not expecting anything.

The statement quickly caught attention, not just because of its tone, but because of who it came from. For an artist known for worship and spirituality, this moment signals a shift, one where even the most reserved voices are beginning to speak on the state of the nation.

It also reflects a growing frustration among citizens, cutting across industries and beliefs, because when voices that once stayed silent begin to speak this loudly, it often means something deeper is brewing beneath the surface.
