On Saturday, Paul Onuachu will aim to score his first-ever goal against Galatasaray.
In continuation of the Turkish Super Lig, Trabzonspor will welcome Super Lig leaders Galatasaray, who will be without the injured Victor Osimhen.
Onuachu is the leading scorer in the Super Lig with 21 goals, but even in his second season in the competition he has yet to score against the defending champions.
The 31-year-old striker has so far scored against the other Turkish giants – two goals in three games vs Fenerbache and a goal against Besiktas.
He is now closing in on finishing as the league’s Goal King just as his coach at Trabzonspor, Fatih Tekke, did in the 2004/2005 season, when he fired 31 goals.
Trabzonspor are third in the standings with 60 points from 27 matches, four points behind leaders Galatasaray, who also have a game in hand.
