The Honest Bunch Podcast has never been one to avoid sensitive topics, and this latest episode proved exactly that.

In the episode released on Monday, 23 March 2026, featuring Christy Bature, conversations took a turn towards matters that hit close to home. Family, marriage, and the ever-controversial subject of cheating took centre stage.

At 58, Rev. Bature did not mince words. In her view, cheating is more than just a mistake. It is a deal breaker. She went further to support her stance with a bold reference, describing God as the first to walk away from a broken covenant, drawing from the story of the Israelites.

Her perspective, while not entirely new, came with a layer of realism that many could relate to. She pointed out that in the past, many women remained in marriages marked by infidelity, not necessarily out of forgiveness, but out of necessity. Financial dependence and fear of societal judgment often left them with little choice.

Times, however, are changing. According to her, society has become more accommodating, and more women are financially independent. Staying is no longer the only option. Leaving, she implied, is now a decision, not a punishment.

As expected, the conversation has sparked reactions. Some agree wholeheartedly, others raise eyebrows, and a few are probably rethinking their definitions of loyalty.
