January didn’t just arrive quietly this year; it came bearing cakes, candles, and a long guest list of celebrity birthdays. Just as Nigerians were still perfecting their “Happy New Year!” greetings, the entertainment industry was already popping champagne for some of its finest.
Leading the January birthday parade were Moyo Lawal, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, MC Edopikin, and Mercy Aigbe, all celebrating as the new year barely found its footing on the 1st of January. It was as though the calendar itself decided that the best way to start 2026 was with star power and extra glitter.
Before the confetti could settle, Anita Joseph followed suit on January 4, adding her own sparkle to an already busy celebration season. At this point, January was beginning to look less like a recovery month and more like an extension of Detty December, just with fewer fireworks and more birthday cakes.
