At this point, it is safe to say we have travelled very far from where this story began. What started as a loud social media outburst has now grown into a full-blown December exposé, complete with arrests, ultimatums, leaked conversations, and a cast of familiar public figures.
Following Doris Ogala’s arrest on December 20, 2025, activist and social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, issued a dramatic 72-hour ultimatum to both the Nigerian Police Force and Pastor Chris Okafor, demanding her release. Failure, he warned, would result in the release of alleged evidence against the clergyman, a moment he ominously described as one where “all hell will be let loose.”
Barely 48 hours later, on December 22, 2025, Doris Ogala appeared in a video confirming her release. In it, she expressed gratitude to VeryDarkMan and two-time presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore, effectively closing that chapter, or so it seemed.
The same day, however, VeryDarkMan reignited the fire. He disclosed portions of an alleged interview with Pastor Chris Okafor’s daughter, in which she reportedly made disturbing claims about her father’s private conduct towards her and her sisters. In words that shocked many listeners, she allegedly stated she would rather “have the blood of an animal run through her veins” than share any bloodline connection with the pastor. Claims yet to be independently verified, but heavy enough to stop the internet in its tracks.
Just when it seemed the story had reached its emotional peak, Pastor Olumide Emmanuel of Calvary Bible Church added another layer. Speaking on The Ladies View on TVC, he openly expressed pain and disappointment over the unfolding controversy, revealing that even he was unaware of Pastor Chris Okafor’s wedding until after it happened, a detail that further deepened public curiosity and concern.
An expository December indeed, one that has blurred the lines between faith, power, accountability, and social media justice. At this point, expectations are low, surprises are high, and the only certainty is that this story is far from its final chapter.
