Kylian Mbappe has told Dayot Upamecano that there are bigger clubs than Bayern Munich amid speculation that the French defender could leave the German giants this summer.
Upamecano’s current contract with the Bundesliga champions is set to expire at the end of the season, with Real Madrid reportedly keen to secure his signature.
Mbappe has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign with Los Blancos, scoring 13 goals in 12 La Liga appearances.
He suggested that any club would be keen to sign one of the best defenders in the world.
“He’s at a big club, Bayern, there’s not much bigger…But there are bigger ones,” Mbappe said, according to Marca.
“I’m not going to say anything, I’m not going to get into that debate, out of respect for his club and for him, because I know that if I say something he’ll be under more pressure, but when you talk about a player of this calibre, all the clubs will be on the lookout to sign him.”
