The Nigerian Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Kano Chapter, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr Ramat Abdullahi as Chairman of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Muhammad Sadiq, Spokesperson of the association and Singer Market, Kano, stated this while addressing newsmen on Monday in Kano.
Sadiq described the appointment as a bold and people-oriented decision that reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to economic transformation under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He expressed optimism that Abdullahi’s leadership would enhance consumer protection, ensure transparent tariff regulation, and improve power supply to small and medium enterprises across the country.
Sadiq called on the National Assembly to speedily confirm Abdullahi’s appointment, describing it as a strategic step toward strengthening investor confidence, stabilising the energy sector, and promoting industrial growth.
He lauded Abdullahi’s decades of experience in Nigeria’s energy sector, noting his reputation for transparency, administrative discipline, and commitment to efficiency and fairness.
He urged him to lead with integrity and deliver reforms that would benefit consumers and businesses alike.
The spokesman appreciated Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Federal Executive Council for supporting policies aimed at driving sustainable industrial development in line with the Renewed Hope vision.
