Police have discovered and destroyed a drug processing lab in eastern Afghanistan’s Paktia province, the provincial police office said yesterday.
Based on intelligence, counter-narcotics police raided Shir Khatal area in Jaji Aryub district and discovered a drug lab involved in hashish processing.
The office adding that police also found a huge quantity of hashish from the site and destroyed the drug.
The Afghan Government has outlawed cultivation of illegal crops including hashish and opium poppy, drug processing and trafficking as part of its efforts to eradicate drug menace in the country.
