NOC, NVBF Set to Host IOC/FIVB Beach Volleyball Technical Coaches Course in Abuja

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), in close collaboration with the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), have a announced plans to co-host a five-day International Olympic Committee (IOC)/FIVB Beach Volleyball Technical Coaches Course.
A statement signed by NOC Public Relations Officer, Tony Nezianya, and made available to newsmen yesterday, said the development programme is an initiative of the IOC’s global educational programmes, implemented through Olympic Solidarity, in partnership with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
According to the statement, the course is scheduled to commenced yesterday, November 4, and will conclude on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
It added that the event will be held at the High-Performance Centre, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium complex, Abuja.
“The course is designed to enhance the skills of at least 25 Beach Volleyball coaches from across the nation, ensuring they are equipped with world-class coaching standards.
“The programme will be conducted by Mr Francisco Javier Bosma Mínguez, an experienced international expert appointed by the FIVB. Mr Bosma, who hails from Madrid, Spain,” the statement added.
The intensive course is designed to allow coaches to gain in-depth knowledge of advanced techniques, tactics, and strategies, focusing on key areas of Beach Volleyball Techniques and Strategies; Tactical Awareness; Coaching Methodology, and Sports Science and Conditioning.
It also explained that the focus areas will provide coaches with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary beach volleyball coaching, enabling them to significantly develop their skills and improve player performance at both the national and international levels.
