Nigeria Women’s Premier League champions, Bayelsa Queens, have qualified for the finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B qualifiers.
The Nigerian side defeated USFA of Burkina Faso 2-1 on Tuesday at Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
Comfort Yeboah opened scoring with two minutes into the game for USFA but Bayelsa Queens replied 13 minutes later with a powerful header from Emem Essien.
Seimeyeha Akekoromowei, however scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute to help the Prosperity Ladies reach the finals of the tournament to be played tomorrow.
