The Abuja chapter of the Jemgbagh Development Association, has inaugurated a five-member executive committee to run its affairs for six months.
The constitution and inauguration of the committee took place during the expanded executive meeting of the association on Saturday called by the newly crowned Tor Jemgbagh Abuja 1, Sir Tion Sylvester Tyôshar.
The caretaker executive appointed has Osu Shadrach as President, while Mr.
Orkula Shaagee is to serve as Secretary. Mt. Osbert Tarhembe is the Treasurer, Amb. Tersoo orbunde is the Publicity Secretary, while Tersoo Jootar will serve as member.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Tor Jemgbagh Abuja 1, Sir Sylvester Tyôshar Tion urged the committee members to redouble their efforts towards repositioning the association, as well as conduct hitch-free election that will usher in a new substantive executive within six months, begining from September 1, 2025.
The meeting was well attended by chapters of leaders across Fct, the Tor Jemgbagh Niger state Zaki Aluna Moses kete (Begha u Jemgbagh) and Mrs Veronica Deekaa Kasev Ikyundu u Jemgbagh Niger State.
Those in attendance unanimously applauds the Tor jemgbargh for his unwavering commitment to the development of Jemgbagh and Tiv in general.
Tor Jemgbagh, Sir Tyôshar appreciated Jemgbagh for honoring him as their king and for responding to his call.
He went ahead with words of wisdom and encouragement to the new leadership to do their best to reposion the organization.
The meeting ended with goodwill massages of encouragement from members to Tor Jemgbagh and the caretaker executive.
