Odey commends Gov. Out for Cross River’s 76.69 percent record in WAEC

Senator Stephen Odey has Commended Governor Bassey Otu’ for the feat achieved by indigenes of the state in the WAEC results recently.

Odey said over 30,000 students got 76.69 percent pass WAEC examinations.

Chairman, Forum of Special Assistants in the State, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, stated this as the Governor went round to commission some of the abandoned or uncompleted projects he inherited from his predecessors.

He addressed the crowd of special assistants and other guests at a Stewardship Dinner in honour of Governor Otu to celebrate Otu’s two years in government.

Andrea said Otu is not initiating project for sake of glamour, instead, he is completing critical projects from past administrations, just to eliminating waste.

According to him, Otu has refurbished more than 40 projects, more than half are those he inherited.

The aides said the state was in a dilapidated state when Otu took over but that in two years he has transformed it.

He particularly outlined that Security has been strengthened with establishment of Operation Okwok, which is community-based, adding that it has restored trust and calm to the streets.
