Akabe tasks Traditional Rulers on Project Supervision

The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr.Emmanuel Akabe, has charged traditional rulers in the state to engage in project supervision, especially those undertaken by council chairmen  in their domain.

He gave the charge when he received traditional rulers, members of the state cabinet, local council chairmen and party leaders at his residence in Doma yesterday.

The Deputy Governor, who is now acting as the Governor of Nasarawa state assured  the populace that the current leadership of the state will use the remaining period of its tenure in office to impact more lives.

According to him, the remaining years of their tenure will be dedicated to serving the people of Nasarawa state, reiterating that government will ensure its footprints are felt across all the 13 local government  councils and administrative areas in the state.

Dr. Akabe appreciated the royal fathers for the contribution done to the government, especially their support and advices, agreed they are part of the success story of the Engineer Abdullahi Sule administration.

He attributed the peace currently enjoined in the state to that regard, noted that the Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s administration holds the traditional institution with high esteem for greatly contributing to the development of the state.

The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed while commending the leadership style of Governor Abdullahi Sule and his deputy, pledged support of the traditional institution to enable the leadership of the state succeed in delivering its mandate before the completion of their tenure.

The Deputy Governor equally received members of the State Executive Council, local council Chairmen, led by the ALGON Chairman, Safiyanu Isa Andaha and the state working committee of the All Progressives Congress, where he re-echoed the submission of Chairman of the party, Aliyu Bello, stressing the need for party supremacy and discipline.

He enjoined all party faithful to be law abiding, shun activities that are detrimental to the party and follow the direction of the leader of the party, Governor Abdullahi Sule.
