The Nationwide League One (NLO) has directed clubs participating in its cup competition to provide adequate security, designated home grounds, and prominently display pitch-side panels featuring club names, partners and sponsors.
The directive is contained in a publication on the official website of the NLO.
It emphasised the need for proper venue preparation, effective security arrangements and adequate maintenance of facilities to ensure the smooth conduct of matches throughout the competition.
The league directed participating clubs to ensure that their playing surfaces, dressing rooms and other ancillary facilities were in good condition and ready for match-day operations.
It also urged clubs to take advantage of pitch-side branding to improve sponsor visibility, strengthen commercial partnerships and attract potential investors.
The NLO emphasised that compliance with the directive was mandatory, warning that clubs that failed to meet the requirements could face sanctions determined by the Competition Organising Committee.
It urged all participating clubs to take the necessary measures to comply with the directive in the interest of safety, professionalism and the development of grassroots football in Nigeria.
The NLO Cup is part of the League’s efforts to provide participating clubs with competitive opportunities and promote the development of football across the country.
