Manchester City beat 10-man Liverpool 3-0 on Sunday in their first game since being found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.
The Premier League leaders City silenced Anfield thanks to second-half goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki.
Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch was sent off just before Haaland’s opener.
City, who are appealing against the guilty verdict, have won all six of their league games this season.
After a forgettable first half which failed to live up to the noisy build-up, the first 15 minutes or so in the second half were a great watch.
Then, everything changed with Ryan Gravenberch’s sending off for a second bookable offence.
Manchester City never looked back after breaking the deadlock, steamrollering Liverpool with three goals in 13 minutes.
It’s another successful day which Manchester City supporters will celebrate, as other fans are left in this very strange post-verdict, pre-appeal outcome period.
