The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has advised the President Bola Tinubu administration against promising Nigerians heaven and earth because they cannot deliver.
National Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Baba Mohammed Tukur, said on Thursday,
that the Tinubu administration should admit that things are not going as intended.
Speaking on Arise Television, Tukur accused the current administration of practicing a voodoo economy.
According to Tukur: “You spend N50,000 on farm preparation, farming and everything, and then you take it to the market and it sells for N40,000. What kind of economy is that, maybe voodoo economic you may say.
“So what do I want to see from this administration, an open admission that things are not going the way they are intended or rather that they did not do the work very well but now there is a clear result.
“But please don’t promise heaven and earth because we know that it can’t be delivered, the thing about perfection is that it’s never attainable.
“So be modest and tell us what you can do within a few months and we don’t expect you to reinvent the wheel but how the spokes fit in the wheel.”
